Shilpa Shetty is Pregnant

Shilpa Shetty and Raj Kundra have something other than Rajasthan Royals victories this IPL to cheer for. The couple, who tied the knot after a two year long courtship on 22 November 2009 are ready to welcome a new member in their family.

While this is a first for Shilpa, Raj Kundra already knows what its like to be a parent. The entrepreneur, who was formerly married to Kavita, is father to daughter Deleena, born on 9 September 2006.

Reportedly, Shilpa Shetty has wanted to be a parent for a very long time. In a media report, in 2009, she said, “I am desperate to start a family. I just love children and we have a beautiful ready made nursery in the new house. I want at least two children”.

There is enough space for us to live at one end while Raj’s parents live at the other and this was even before she got married!

Well, it looks like her dreams are materializing as the actress has been spotted at several clinic around the city. Our source confirmed, “Shilpa is expecting and the couple are extremely happy. Only the close family members and friends have been informed of the new arrival. They do not want to announce it publicly before the first trimester passes”.

Shilpa, who shot to fame in the UK after she won the celebrity show Big Brother, married Raj in November 2009.  The couple went on to buy a share in the Rajasthan Royals team of the IPL and have devoted their attention to the game ever since, until now that is.

Despite repeated text messages and calls, both Shilpa and Raj Kundra remained unavailable for comment.

They recently announced the opening of their new nightclub called ‘Royalty’ in Mumbai at the same place where popular hotspot ‘Poison’ was earlier situated.

Shilpa Shetty enjoying her honeymoon

Shilpa Shetty has been walking on air ever since she tied the knot with the man of her dreams, Raj Kundra. After a rather extended honeymoon in the Bahamas, the newly weds have returned to London and now packing up again to leave for a cruise through the Mediterranean. This time, however, their families will be joining them.

 

The actress likens her honeymoon to a dream. “Back to reality, the last couple of weeks felt like a dream -- from the sunny Bahamas back in London for the last couple of days... There's no place like London when it comes to celebrating Christmas,” Shilpa wrote on her blog.

 

However, Shilpa and Raj won’t be in London on New Year’s Eve. The couple, along with their families, will ring in 2010 on a ship.

 

“Really excited about the Mediterranean cruise we are taking with the family, my first ever, making it even more special. I will be out at sea for the next two weeks... Will be bringing in New Year on the ship,” she added.

 

Guess Shilpa was right when she recently said that she’s going through the best phase of her life after marriage with Raj.

Shamita unlikely to attend Shilpa’s wedding

There’s chance that Shamita may not be able to attend her sister’s wedding. According to highly-placed sources at Colors, there seems to be no provision to get a contestant out of a game show for a wedding. Hard as it may be to believe, Shilpa Shetty’s kid-sister now locked away in Bigg Boss 3, is oblivious of the momentous developments in her star-sister’s life.Says a highly-placed Colors source, “Shamita has not been told anything about Shilpa’s engagement or the marriage in the last week of November. As far as Shamita knows the marriage was supposed to happen in December after the show was over.”Now that Shilpa has approached the channel to evict her sister in time for the wedding- and a meeting between the two parties is on the cards this weekend – the channel bosses are at a loss as to how the rules can be bent to get Shamita out of the Bigg Boss house.

Says the source, “There’s a provision for a house-mate to be brought out in case of an extreme emergency. It happened with Jade Goody last year. But does a sister’s unscheduled wedding qualify as a family crisis? We’re now wondering if the same rule as Jade can be applied to Shamita’s case.”The international Big Brother rules are being consulted. If there’s no provision for a contestant to leave the game for a family wedding, then Shamita Shetty may not get the permission to leave Bigg Boss house for the wedding!This however seems improbable, considering Shilpa’s old relations with the reality show. (She was contestant on Bigg Brother and hosted Bigg Boss 2).Says the source from Colors, “After meeting Shilpa this weekend we’ll work out a strategy on Shamita’s eviction.” According to plans if rules apply, Shamita’s eviction will be done live.

“If an unexpected turn of events helps us boost our TRPs we’re certainly not shy of putting it on camera. We did with Jade Goody. We’ll do it with Shamita.”The pop philosopher of the show Amitabh Bachchan is expected to do the needful. He will be breaking the news of Shilpa’s engagement and impending marriage to Shamita.“The rest is up to Shamita. Once we’re sure she can be evicted whether she decides to come out or stay in the House is entirely her decision,” ends the channel source.

Shilpa Shetty has begun plans for her wedding

After exchanging the engagement ring with her London-based businessman boyfriend Raj Kundra in Mumbai on Saturday, actress Shilpa Shetty has already begun plans for her wedding.

The 34-year-old beauty, who catapulted to international fame after winning the ‘Big Brother’ show in UK, is learnt to have roped in fashion designer Tarun Tahiliani to design her wedding trousseau.

Though Shilpa wore a dazzling sari by Manish Malhotra on her engagement day, she chose Tarun for her wedding because he’s popular for traditional, ethnic Indian wear, including lehengas and saris.

Just last year, Shilpa was the showstopper for Tarun’s fashion show at the HDIL India Couture Week where she wore a heavy lehenga choli that had intricate work on it.

Tarun admits he’s been asked by Shilpa to design her wedding dress, but he refuses to reveal what he plans to create for the actress.

“I can't talk about the details of the outfits but I can tell you that she will look absolutely stunning,” Tahiliani told a news agency on the sidelines of his show at the Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week (WIFW) on Saturday.

When asked if he would design Shilpa’s dresses for the mehendi and sangeeth ceremonies as well, Tarun gave a terse reply.

“I'll design everything!” he said without elaborating.

Rumours are abuzz that Shilpa and Raj might tie the knot either by the end of this year or early next year.

Biography Bollywood actress Tabu

Tabu born on November 4, 1970 is an Indian film actress. She has mainly acted in Hindi films, though she has also starred in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Bengali language films, as well as one American film. She has won the National Film Award for Best Actress twice, and she holds the record for the most wins of Filmfare's Critics Award for Best Female Performer, with four.




She went to St. Anns high school in Hyderabad. Tabu moved to Mumbai in 1983 and studied at St. Xavier's College for two years. She is the niece of Shabana Azmi and the younger sister of actress Farah Naaz. She has homes in Mumbai and Hyderabad

In Gulzar’s Machis, she depicted the agony of citizens of Punjab, who were the victims of terrorist attacks during the period when there was unrest in the state. Chandrachur Singh and Om Puri also provided realistic performance in the state.

She was sublime in the film Tarqieb, where she was killed and there was no evidence to prove the guilt of the offender. She was the friend of Shilpa Shetty and she was also interrogated about her experience with her friend. In a film Cheeni Kum opposite Big B, which had a peculiar story line of a 60-plus aged person having an affair with a middle aged woman. It happens in certain cases, and Tabu had provided adequate feelings in her role.

She was brilliant in Chachi 420, opposite Kamal Hassan, where her father Amrish Puri, disliked her husband and Kamal Hassan had to play the role of a chachi, who was a cook in her house and in that way both of them lived together. She also had a daughter whom both her husband and herself loved a lot. The film had very powerful performance from the character actors like Om Puri and Paresh Rawal.

She had done well in the comedy film Biwi No.1, opposite Anil Kapoor, where his friend, Salman Khan had entered into extra-marital affair, and both Tabu and Anil Kapoor, had helped Karishma Kapoor, the wife of Salman Khan in the film to get back her husband and leave Susmita Sen, who created all the problems.

Tabu had shown her comedy skills in an adequate manner. She also did well in the film Hera Pheri opposite Sunil Shetty and Akshay Kumar,where she used all the unfair means possible to get a job.

Shilpa, earlier in an interview with an entertainment channel revealed her wish of getting married soon, and now it seems her dream is coming true.Recently it was reported that Shilpa is going to make this event a grand one, with a lavish wedding in the posh suburbs of London.

Though we haven’t received any confirmation from her official spokesperson. Shilpa’s dad is being seen in and out of court trying to get his passport back, which ceased in 2006. This has sparked a speculation on the wedding, as what could be more urgent than his daughter’s wedding. Shilpa Shetty leads the way

Shilpa Shetty will be the Grand Marshall at the 29th India Day Parade, the largest Independence Day celebrations outside India. “Yes, I’ve been contacted to lead the parade in New York and I know that the first one was attended by none other than Raj Kapoor. I immediately spoke to Tarun (Tahiliani) who very sweetly agreed to craft an anarkali for me. He has also designed a very nice champagne coloured saree which I am going to wear for the evening,” says Shilpa.

Shilpa recounts that she was a part of the Road Safety Patrol when she was in St. Anthony Girls’ High School in Chembur. “I have taken part in a march past when I was only in school and I don’t think that I will get a chance to have rehearsals too. But I am sure that I will be able to pull it off well. I am really looking forward to it…I leave for New York on the 14th,” she adds.

The parade will take place at 12 noon from 41st Street to 28th Street on Madison Avenue in New York City ending at 3pm after which the festivals and floats begin. Last year, the march past about sixty thousand people on 23rd street. Several dignitaries including New York Governor David Paterson arescheduled to attend.

Police case against Shilpa Shetty

Shilpa Shetty has again hit the headlines for a wrong reason. FIR has been lodged against Shilpa and her crew members for shooting inside the premises of Sakhigopal temple in Puri. The executive officer of the Gopinath Deb temple filed case against them for shooting illegally for a television serial Mahayatra with all equipments and violating the norms.

According to the complaint, in spite of repeated objection by the temple authority Shilpa and her crew including her guards entered the temple premises with shoes and cameras. Their activity hurt the sentiments of the locals. While the police sources said that the crew seeks the permission of the temple authorities before shooting with their equipments.

The scene shows Shilpa walking up to the temple carrying a puja thali. The police added that the temple authorities were present there for the smooth running of the shooting from the afternoon.

Salman Khan returns Shilpa’s favour

We keep hearing about Salman Khan’s generosity. But did you know that he owed big time to Ms Shilpa Shetty? Shilpa Shetty was nominated for her first film Baazigar, she delivered another blockbuster hit Main Khiladi Tu Anari co-starring Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan.
