It started off fabulously with Lara Dutta looking gorgeous at the IIFA, Colombo in Sri Lanka in her Gustavo Cadile designed golden gown. The dress was quite low cut but Lara carried it off confidently as usual. Then it happened! As she was addressing her fans and signing autographs for them, the dainty strap of her gown slipped off thereby revealing more than what was intended. The camera person present there captured the moment instantly.
Everyone was shocked but Lara used her presence of mind, kept her cool, held on to the strap and suddenly went back stage to fix it. And then she was back to her role as host and even posed for pictures.
Shopping is something that can bring together the contemporary women who may be the Bollywood actresses. Recently Lara and Deepika were shooting in London for their upcoming film ‘Housefull’ and that often took off from work for some shopping.
The stars of Eros International and Sajid Nadiadwala’s have bonded so many friendships on screen as well as off screen. Lara and Deepika share good terms with each other and a source close to them reveals, “Lara was familiar with London and since she and Deepika shared a great rapport she would often take Deepika for the local sales.” The Bollywood beauties really had a good time shopping together that has strengthened their bonds even more.
It didn’t take long for Lara Dutta and Mahesh Bhupathi to make their relationship public as the lovey-dovey couple entered together at this year’s Filmfare Awards. Now, the lover boy Mahesh is reportedly shifting his base from Bangalore to Mumbai. 
It seems nursing each other’s broken hearts helped them to get along well. Mahesh has separated from his wife Shvetha Jaishankar while Lara’s love life saw two failed relationships in quick succession. And, if recent reports are to be believed, Lara and Mahesh plan to stay quite close to each other.
As a source tells a daily, Mahesh has booked an apartment in Pali Hill area and that place is less than 10 minutes away from Lara’s flat in Bandra. In fact, Lara accompanied him while finalizing the deal.
In the filmi circuit, Lara Dutta’s known to be not too friendly. Her co-star from Housefull, Akshay Kumar, remarks, “She’s a very serious person.
She doesn’t talk much.” To this, Lara says, “Yes I don’t talk much when I’m on the sets. You need to be serious about your work. I’m focussed about what I want to do, so I do that and leave.” But she doesn’t agree to the image that she’s not very friendly.
Watch me when I’m with my friends and you’ll agree that I’m fun-loving,” she said and adds, “About Akshay saying that I don’t talk much, well, with him around, who really gets a chance to talk. He does all the talking, so you are forced to keep quiet,” she smiles.

Wearing a Burberry Prorsum Spring ice-blue coloured skirt with a shiny cardigan, and a hint of curve, Lara looks sensuously cool, in keeping with the theme of spring. She has been photographed by international photographer Marcin Tyszka for it and the issue is going to hit the stands today.
The spread also carries an interview with the lady where she talks about her addiction to shopping. “I need therapy when it comes to shopping. I have no rules. My friends call me a compulsive shopaholic and joke that I can find arm loads to buy even at the paanwalla.”
If one has the smile that appeals to the whole 'Universe' and the other has that 'special something' that enhances smiles the world over, then, don't you feel that the coming together of the two is just inevitable?
Well, we are talking about the former 'Miss Universe' Lara Dutta, who, as per the latest buzz, has been signed up by the oral care major Colgate Palmolive as their brand ambassador. According to Bollywood Hungama's confirmed sources, "Lara's name was playing on the minds of the Colgate officials since quite sometime now. And there couldn't have been a better time to sign on Lara as their brand ambassador". True-Blue girl that Lara always is, this association is something that is bound to sparkle its way to (smiling) glory!

Two’s company, three’s a crowd and isn’t a crowd hard to handle? Well if that saying holds any truth and if the three refers to actresses working in the same film, then it may prove to be true.
Sajid Khan’s ‘Housefull’ is a multi-starrer comedy flick that stars Akshay Kumar, Ritesh Deshmukh and Arjun Rampal in pivotal roles. But what turned out to be a problem were not these three actors but the actresses.
The shooting of movie turned out to be quite eventful as two of the film’s leading ladies Deepika Padukone and Lara Dutta apparently cold-shouldered the third actress, the young and upcoming Jiah Khan.
As per reports, “Deepika and Lara refused to acknowledge the presence of Jiah.” After working with two biggies Amitabh Bachchan and Aamir Khan, Jiah is still working hard to find a foothold in the industry.
The youngster is known to be fairly reserved and it seems as though the other girls had no problem giving her her own space.
Not so fair!
Lara Dutta has really worked hard to get that perfect bikini figure, and being sexy is fun for the ‘it’ gal of Bollywood.
However, the hottie never had problems in flaunting her great figure as she hardly goes out of shape, but admits that a lot of hard work is required for donning a bikini on screen. She further adds, “Having a good body gives you a lot of confidence to carry off any look. But the emphasis is always on being and feeling fit. That’s sexy and, yes, sexy is fun!” as quoted by a news daily.
After a dull period of almost two years, Lara is back in form and action, keeping busy with films like Housefull and Banda Yeh Bindaas Hai. And after swimming with sharks and doing death-defying stunts in ‘Blue’ she is raring for some more action, but only on silver screen. “I am really dying to play a super hero,” the actress is quoted as saying.
As for now, she is set to sizzle on screen with her ‘Blue’ bikini avatar. The movie is going to hit the theatres on 16th October and stars Akshay Kumar, Katrina Kaif, Sanjay Dutt and Zayed Khan.
