Vidya Balan getting engaged to Siddharth?

Vidya Balan and her rumoured boyfriend Siddharth Roy Kapur are said to be thinking of getting engaged.

The actress has been spotted with the head honcho of UTV Motion Pictures on more occasion than one, thereby sparking the rumours that something is indeed brewing between them. The latest was their outing together on the sandy beaches of Goa. The duo was clicked in casual beach wear while holidaying together.

Apparently, Sid and Vid have been friends for some time since he stays in her neighbourhood.

But the couple are wary of being linked together because Siddharth’s divorce from his wife is yet to come through. Naturally, they are likely to play down the reports of their engagement.

Vidya’s spokesperson says just because Vidya is friendly with someone doesn’t mean she will get engaged to him.

We, however, will wait to see how this ‘love story’ unfolds.

Sonakshi Sinha unwilling in doing a ‘south film’!

The journey of any aspiring Bollywood actress is incomplete without working in a Tamil film. The likes of Aishwarya Rai, Shilpa Shetty, Priyanka Chopra, Kangana Ranaut, and many others had done some project or the other in South during their early days of career. In fact Aishwarya Rai, Priyanka Chopra and Genelia actually made their film debut in a Tamil movie.

Of late the buzz is it that ‘Dabangg’ beauty Sonakshi Sinha has been also approached for a tri-lingual (Hindi, Tamil and Telugu) film to be directed by Selvaraghavan with the super star Kamal Haasan in the lead.

While you may feel, it’s truly a great opportunity for the Shatrughan Sinha’s daughter sources say, the lady is apprehensive about doing a ‘south film’ when she is an actress of demand in Bollywood.
But doing a film with a legend like Kamal Haasan is a dream come true opportunity for any actress and we hope better sense prevails in Sonakshi.

Katrina Kaif stop cheering Royal Challengers!

Katrina Kaif is undoubtedly one of the most sought after heroines in Bollywood at present and it is exactly for this reason that the beautiful actress has let go of her image as the brand ambassador of Indian Premier League team Royal Challengers Bangalore. Since Kaif will be busy with the shoot for Yash Raj Film’s “Mere Brother Ki Dulhan” during IPL-4 beginning April 8, she feels that it would not be possible for her to make appearances to support the team.

Katrina is a die hard professional and does not want to play with her responsibilities. Also, being an avid sport’s enthusiast, she wanted to be present for all of the team’s matches to cheer them on. However, her shooting schedule wouldn’t allow her to do so. So, she has decided to step down from the responsibility.

Scheduled for a worldwide release in July, “Mere Brother Ki Dulhan” is Ali Abbas Zafar’s directorial debut and Katrina has teamed up with actor Imran Khan and Pakistani singer-actor Ali Zafar in the movie.

Rajshree

Rajshree, the Bollywood actress was born to the acclaimed Indian filmmaker V. Shantaram. Rajshree’s mother Jayshree was also an actress, and was the second wife of V. Shantaram. While shooting with Raj Kapoor in America for the most famous film, titled “Around the World in Eight Dollars” Rajshree met an American student by the name of Greg Chapman, to whom she got married three years later, according to Hindu marriage ceremony in India.

Though, their marriage lasted only for five days and was attended by 15 thousands guests. Rajshree then, returned back to America with her husband, to permanently live there, leaving her film career in India far behind. The actress has now been living in America for the last 30 years running a successful custom clothing business. Rajshree was an actress in Indian Hindi films during the 1960s. She was known for her classic beauty, acting and dancing abilities.

The actress was actually launched by her father along with the famous actor Jeetendra in the Bollywood movie Geet Gaya Patharon Ne. She also featured in popular hits such as Jaanwar and Brahmchari with the most flawless actor Shammi Kapoor and she also shared the screen space with Biswajeet in Shehnai.

Sameera Reddy

Sameera Reddy was born 14 December 1982. The Bollywood actress has two sisters, Sushma Reddy and Meghna Reddy respectively. The actress did her schooling at Bombay Scottish School in Mahim, Mumbai and completed her college from Sydenham College.

Sameera Reddy first appeared in the ghazal singer Pankaj Udhas’s "Are Aahista" music video when she was a graduate. In the year 2002 Sameera got a chance to make her Bollywood debut with the film Maine Dil Tujhko Diya. In 2004, she appeared in Musafir, in which she played a very sensual character. Apart from doing Hindi movies, Sameera Reddy has also appeared in a few Telugu, Tamil and Malyalam films.

Priyanka so thrilled to work with Shahid!

A befitting tale for the lovey-dovey couple who can’t seem to have enough of each other. Priyanka Chopra and Shahid Kapoor could not have hoped for a better film than one chronicling 100 years of romance.

Director Kunal Kohli is readying to direct his next film which will be an out and out love story spanning a time period of 100 years. The lead roles in the film will be played by Priyanka and Shahid, who, as everyone from the movie buffs to income tax guys know, are in a relationship.

When Priyanka heard the narration of this century-long love story, that too with Shahid, she was reportedly so thrilled that she made changes in her dates diary to accommodate Kunal’s film, likely to go on the floors in May this year.

Presently, Kunal is finalizing the shooting locations for the film. He hasn’t zeroed down on the movie’s title yet, but is open to suggestions.

With her career on a downslide, Bollywood hottie Kashmira Shah is now ready to hit the headlines by going topless for a calendar.

It’s a calendar that exclusively features Kashmira only. Produced by Third Rock Entertainment, the calendar is called Kashessentual.

Kashmira doesn’t shy in boasting that the calendar will have hottest topless pic anyone has seen in a long time.

“People will be shocked when they see the pictures and how far I’ve gone....Every guy will have the calendar in his bathroom,” Kashmira is quoted as saying by Mumbai Mirror.

The calendar will be released in the first week of March. Kashmira has gone topless in only one of the pics in the calendar.

Deepika wants to pair with Salman!

She started her career with a film opposite Shahrukh Khan. The Om Shanti Om gal Deepika Padukone is always keen to romance big stars on screen!

That was the reason why she recently quit a big Bollywood project and lapped up the golden chance to work with the superstar Rajinikanth in his next. Now on her wishlist is Salman Khan.

Ramesh Taurani of Tips is again teaming up with Rajkumar Santoshi for the film Ladies And Gentleman and Deepika is the one who might get paired up with the movie’s main lead Salman Khan. As per sources, Deepika might even cut down her fee for this project; money is not the issue.

“She is so kicked about working with Sallu that she hasn't charged her market price. This is not something she does often,” tells a source to a tabloid.

Earlier there were rumours that Deepika is working with Salman in not one but three films: Ready, Kick and even Bodyguard. But Deepika couldn’t bag any of these films.

Madhuri Dixit refused Rajini’s rana offer!

When all heroines who matter in the country today are waiting for a call to feature as Rajinikanth’s pair in ‘Rana’, the Bollywood yester year heartthrob Madhuri Dixit has reportedly refused the offer to star as one of the Rajini’s pair in the upcoming film.

Rajinikanth plays three characters belonging to three different generations in the film. Current national sensation Deepika Padukone has already been signed to play the romantic pair to the youngest Rajini in the film.

But to play Jodi to one of the older characters Madhuri Dixit was approached and buzz is that the lady declined the offer on personal grounds.  Apparently Madhuri turned down the request saying that she misses her children too much and wanted to fly back to the United States at the earliest.

Madhuri Dixit had paired with the super star before in a 1987 Bollywood film called ‘Uttar Dakshin’. For the other Rajini, the names of Sneha and Anushka are being considered according to grapevine.

Asin loves to work with Salman!

For her upcoming Hindi film 'Ready', Asin has pretty much found herself in a position where she is one of the few trusted co-stars that Salman Khan boasts of. This is not the first time though that Salman has been ever so caring about a co-star of his. Even earlier, whenever Salman has caught fancy of his co-star and extended a friendly hand, he has gone all out to ensure that everything about him or her is taken care of.

"That's right. Asin has become further fond of Salman in last one year," a senior unit member from 'Ready' confirms, "Since after 'London Dreams' they are working together in 'Ready' again, they are spending a lot of quality time together. This has resulted in a very good bond between the two."

Another reason behind this good bonding is the fact that Asin too found a comfortable co-star in Salman.

"Whether it was Aamir in 'Ghajini' or Salman in 'London Dreams' and now 'Ready', I didn't have to make any changes to adapt to their working style," says Asin, "They made me feel really comfortable. I was free to do things the way I wanted to do because Aamir is very chilled out and he goes about his own job without interfering. Same is true with Salman. He doesn't come to you and tell you how you should be approaching your character. This is why it is so cool working with him."

Priyanka Chopra harassed in public!

Mumbai, Feb 20 – Actress Priyanka Chopra got into a heated verbal argument with a man in Delhi while promoting her just released film ‘7 Khoon Maaf’. He was out to rattle her.

The incidnet happened Tuesday evening at the recording of an interactive interview. A man, apparently from Punjab, piped in to accuse her of ‘not being a Punjabi’.

Said a member of Priyanka’s entourage: ‘Priyanka was taken aback by the accusation. At first she laughed it off saying she is very much Punjabi. But the man kept piping in loudly with his allegation. Priyanka finally told him to shut up and quit before he faces the consequence of her wrath.’

The man soon after disappeared from the venue, but Priyanka, known to be extremely warm to fans, was hurt by the vehemence of the accusation.

Apparently the man kept insinuating she had done nothing for Punjab and Punjabis.

The spokesperson for ‘7 Khoon Maaf’ confirmed the incident adding: ‘It was weird and inopportune. Priyanka’s Punjabiyat had nothing to do with the occasion. We don’t know where the man came from and where he disappeared to. But the whole incident was suspicious.’

Priyanka’s father is Punjabi while her mother is from Jharkhand.

Priyanka spent her growing years in Rai Bareilly in Uttar Pradesh. This is the first time her Punjabi antecedents were questioned, and that too in full public view.

She is far from amused.

Jiah Khan secretly married?

The latest buzz doing the rounds in tinsel town is that Jiah Khan, the actress of films like Housefull, Ghajini and Nishabd, has got secretly married.

We hear that her husband is a foreigner. Jiah herself lived most of her life in the UK and has a large circle of friends who are foreigners. At one time she was reportedly involved with a guy whom she described as a ‘prince’.

While we await a denial or confirmation of the marriage from Jiah Khan, a friend of hers told a tabloid that Jiah is married to a guy who is a foreigner.

In the past, Jiah has also dated her former manager Jaspreet Walia.

Reportedly, superstar Aamir Khan and Yash Raj Films have made a secret pact for the movie “Dhoom 3” wherein Aamir will be offered a direct remuneration of Rs 10 crores and the distribution rights of overseas market, which sums up to more than Rs 100 crores.

The market forecast for Aamir’s highest grosser till date, 3 Idiots (more than 300 crores) till the release of Dhoom 3, suggests that this upcoming release will easily touch the collection of Rs 500 crores, considering the fact of Aamir’s popularity and the craze for the Dhoom series.

Hmm!! looks like Aamir’s star power will bring him and Dhoom 3 a lot of money.

Zeenat Aman

Zeenat Aman who have been known for her glamorous and bold avatar in films, was born on November 19, 1951. She was the second runner up in the Miss India Contest and went on to win the Miss Asia Pacific in late 1970. After having studied in Los Angeles, her looks in "Yaadon Ki Baaraat' (1973) as the girl carrying a guitar, singing 'churaliya hai tumne jo dil ko' won her more popularity.


She appeared on every Hindi film magazine's cover during 1970s. In December 1974, Cine Blitz magazine was launched with Zeenat Aman on its cover page. Zeenat Aman received a Lifetime Achievement Award during the Zee Cine Awards function in the year 2008, as a recognition of her contribution to Hindi Cinema. The actress also received An Outstanding Contribution to Indian Cinema award at IIFA awards 2010 held at Colombo, Sri Lanka.
