Her debut movie was quite successful and earned praise also but Tulip’s acting was not satisfactory. After a two-year hiatus, she reappeared in Matrubhoomi - a dark film about a futuristic world with almost no women.

She was appreciated in this movie and Tulip was now able to establish her credibility as an actress. Her movie Dhoka also won her some recognition.
