When we thought Ayesha Takia has bid adieu to Bollywood, she is back with Nagesh Kukunoor's first love story Mod. Nagesh has always made off beat films like Aashayein, Iqbal and Dor but now he wants to experiment with a love story. It is a love story between Ayesha and Rannvijay Singh. Interestingly, the director decided to go ahead and shoot it completely before even letting people know what he is up to.
Talking about the film Nagesh candidly says, " I never wanted to do love stories as I always believed there was nothing really new to say, considering we see so many love stories being made every year. But when I saw a Taiwanese film Keeping Watch at AFFF, where I was a member of the jury, I was amazed. I wanted to take the same premise and set it in India. So I went ahead and bought the rights. I still maintain that every story has been told but it is the way a story is told that matters."The director claims that the audience will see the beauty of Ooty in the film like never before. The film is slated to release in September, 2011.
