Katrina was apparently miffed at not getting any award while her contemporaries, including Kareena Kapoor, walked away with the trophies.
Given Katrina's clout in the industry, the organisers of the event were not in.
A mood to annoy her and tried mollifying her by creating a new category especially for her.
Katrina lost the Best Actress award to Vidya Balan for her performance in Paa.
She also lost the Best Actress (Popular) trophy to Kareena Kapoor which the Kapoor babe won for her performances in Kurbaan and 3 Idiots. But Katrina was not in a mood to take things lying down.
Reports go that as Kat reached the venue, she realised that she had lost in both the categories. She was miffed because she had delivered a few successful movies in 2009 - New York, Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani and an average grosser De Dana Dan. So, the organisers reportedly created a special award for her and presented it to her before her performance.
Apparently, the model-turned actress came straight from her van when her name was announced and returned to it. Katrina was not seen sitting with the rest of the guests at the function that evening. Well, success can really make some stars do the unthinkable.
