Aparna Sen

A famous name in Bengali cinema as well in Indian cinema. She is working with bolywood industry as well theatre also. Aparna was born on 1945 in Kolkata,her father is a film critic. She has completed her degree from Arts of Presidency College, Kolkata, She debut in the movie Teen Kanya directed by the famous director Satyajit Ray, when she was just 16 years old.


After that she got entered in bollywood film like Manzil, The Guru and many more, she has acted in many Bengali film also. Aparna Sen has directed many movies also like 36 Chowringhee Lane, Paroma,Yugant and she has won many Natiaonal Awards for her amazing directed movies. In her 28 years of expierence Aparna has made only seven movies, because she is very selective about the storyline of the movie.

She was married three time, firstly she married with Sanjay Sen, her second husband was science writer and a journalist,Mukul Sharma later they divored because of some personal reasons. Then she arried again with Kalyan Sen an author and English Professor. She has two daughter Kamalini and Konkona.
