Gracy Singh
Gracy Singh born on July 20, 1980 in Delhi, India is a famous Indian actress. Gracy Singh is best known for her role as Gauri in Lagaan: Once Upon a Time in India.
Gracy started her career touring with the dance group The Planets and got her first break in the television soap, Amanat. After that Gracy Singh got an acting role in the film Hum Aapke Dil Mein Rehte Hain as Kajol's younger sister and in Hu Tu Tu which lead her to her role opposite Aamir Khan in Lagaan: Once Upon a Time in India.
Gracy Singh was also nominated for the best debut actress for Lagaan. Doing a number of hit films in Hindi and Telugu including Munnabhai M.B.B.S. and Santosham, the lady has also starred in Punjabi films such as Lakh pardesi hoye.
Gracy Singh is the director of the NGO Save our Souls for abolishing dowry. In 2002 Awards of the International Indian Film Academy, she won Special award "Face of the Year" was nominated for Popular Award Actress in a Leading Role for Lagaan. Gracy Singh also won the Screen Weekly Awards's Most Promising Newcomer and Zee Cine Awards Best Debut- Female both for Lagaan.
