A steamy kissing scene between Sonam Kapoor and Imran Khan in ‘I Hate Luv Storys’ has been much talked recently.

However the actress denies that she has done such a scene. She does however admit that there as some intense scenes between the two.

 

“I have never kissed him. We have done a song Ho Sakta which is sensual. We were quite comfortable doing that as it is a part of the job,” tells Sonam.

 

While Imran is comfortable holding only his fiancee Avantika hand, Sonam on the other hand would not like to do anything which she can’t sit and watch with her family.

 

Well, this proves that there was no kiss between the two.

The nasty jibes over 'Kites' have been in no deficit. Hrithik Roshan, though, is not moaning over the low flying opus. Rather, he's moved on valiantly. Zoya Akhtar's flick will have him scooting off to Spain.

Katrina Kaif Clean The Loo In Village

Since she is the current reigning Bollywood princess, everyone has only nice things to say about her. But this little story is still worth telling. Apparently, Katrina Kaif who travelled to some small time village a couple of months ago for her charity work surprised the locals when she was most non fussy about the toilet she used.

It seems the locals were embarrassed with their modest facilities and though that a superstar like Katrina Kaif would hesitate to use their loo. But the actress just cleaned the loo on her own and used it without a fuss. She even remembered to thank the village folk for letting her use their toilet. Nice to know Katrina still has a reality check going.

 

We know of one Bengali siren who actually threw a fit in some far out location and had her producer pulling his own hair out in sheer frustration because of her unreasonable demands.

Sonam wants sleek figure like Deepika

Sonam Kapoor might have a sleek figure herself, but the actress wishes to have a body like Deepika Padukone’s.

 

‘Deepika has a great body and I wish I could have a body like her,’ Sonam told reporters here Monday at DT Cinemas in DLF Promenade in Vasant Kunj, where she was with her ‘I Hate Luv Storys’ co-star Imran Khan and director Punit Malhotra, to to promote her new film.

 

Sonam also dispelled rumours of any supposed cold war between her and Deepika, after she was linked with Deepika’s then boyfriend and actor Ranbir Kapoor during the shooting of ‘Saawariya’.

 

‘I don’t know Deepika. Then how would I have a cold war with her?’ she asked.

 

Sonam, also denied that she refused to work with Deepika in Rahul Dholakia’s ‘Desi Boys’, starring John Abraham and Akshay Kumar.

 

‘The role that Deepika is doing was offered to me before. I would have loved to do it but because I was busy with ‘Mausam’ and ‘Thank You’ I could not take it. It later went to Deepika and I am sure she will do a great job,’ she said.

 

Imran and Sonam were greeted with much fanfare at the mall. They joyfully interacted with their fans and they even shook a leg together at the title song of ‘I Hate Luv Storys’ for the audiences. The film is set for release July 2.

Salman Khan’s films to be banned?

Bollywood’s enfant terrible Salman Khan is always in news for the wrong reasons, for the hunk of an actor is back to his best – courting troubles!
News has it that Salman, who was recently a part of IIFA celebrations at Colombo, was bowled over by the picturesque beauty of Sri Lanka to such an extent that he finally convinced the makers of his latest film ‘Ready’ to change its shoot location from Mauritius to Sri Lanka.

 

However, Salman’s this decision has angered the South Indian Film Chamber of Commerce (SIFCC), as the latter is contemplating a non-cooperation motion against the film.

 

Talking to a news daily, L Suresh, the General Secretary of SIFCC said, “If the news is true, we will announce a non-cooperation motion against the film.”

Incidentally, SIFCC has rolled back its earlier plans of boycotting the actors who attended the IIFA celebrations in Colombo, Sri Lanka.

 

“Now, we’ll only take action against someone who wants to shoot upcoming films in Sri Lanka. We don’t want inconvenience for producers, distributors and producers.”

 

When enquired whether Vivek Oberoi starrer ‘Rakta Charita’ will be banned because the actor attended a wedding of ex-LTTE militants in Sri Lanka, Suresh denied any such reports and said, “That’s a cock and bull story.”

In a surprising turn of events, just 2 days after the release of Abhishek & Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's 'Raavan', Amitabh Bachchan has criticised the editing of the film on a popular website. Amitabh's statements on the site come in response to heavy criticism for 'Raavan' from critics aross the country. In his statements the Big B says Raavan is 'Sadly' edited and the reason Abhishek's character Beera often appears confused is due to important portions of the film being chopped off on the editing table.

RAAVAN grosses 20 crores worldwide on opening day

Reliance BIG Pictures and Madras Talkies' RAAVAN seems to have got an excellent opening at the box office. It has grossed Rs 20 crores worldwide on the opening day from its three versions- Hindi (RAAVAN), Tamil (RAAVANAN) and Telugu (VILLAIN).

 

RAAVAN is India's first film to have released worldwide in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu language simultaneously.

 

The film has opened in 2200 screens worldwide on 18th June in all its three versions.

 

Directed by Mani Ratnam, the film is a modern-day version and a loose adaptation of the Indian epic Ramayana, in which Sita, the wife of Lord Rama, was abducted by the demon (Rakshasa) king of Lanka, Ravana. The film's score and soundtrack is composed by A. R. Rahman.

Asin leaving for Sri Lanka with Salman Khan

Asin is leaving for Sri Lanka next Sunday (June 20) for the shoot of her new Salman Khan film Ready, directed by Anees Bazmee.

The film is a remake of a Telugu film by the same name. Salman Khan and director Anees Bazmee who were originally planning to shoot the film in Mauritius, changed locations at the last minute as the Sri Lankan Government rolled out the red carpet for Salman Khan who attended the IIFA.

 

Please note that a raging controversy is going on in Kollywood over Bollywood stars taking part in the recent IIFA Awards held in Colombo. The South Indian Film Chamber of Commerce (SIFCC) even passed a resolution banning the films of Bollywood stars like Salman Khan, Hrithik Roshan and Vivek Oberoi who went to Sri Lanka.

 

Asin’s imminent departure to Colombo will set the alarm bells ringing for Ilayathalapathy Vijay and his Kavalkaran, as she is the heroine of the film. Vijay is one of the biggest supporters of Sri Lankan Tamils and had even gone on a day’s fast for them during the height of the Sri Lankan crisis.

 

One of Vijay’s major markets is the overseas box-office, mainly due to the patronage of Sri Lankan Tamils who form the bulk of the viewership. If Asin goes to Colombo, a hue and cry will be raised by pro- Tamil groups, which will have its repercussions on Kavalkaran.

 

Remember that Genelia, Vijay’s Velayudham heroine was forced to abandon her IIFA plans, as it stirred a hornet’s nest in Tamil Nadu.

John Abraham wants to reduce his extra weight

Sometimes it gets really tough for an actor to get into the skin of his character. Ask John Abraham who’s been pumping the iron relentlessly to put on extra weight for the beefed up look to play the rough and tough narcotics officer in Vipul Shah’s Hindi remake of the south film Khaka Khaka.

 

For this film, to be directed by Nishikant Kamat, John has already put on eight kilos. But as soon as he’s done with shooting Khaka Khaka, John will have to lose all the weight he’s gaining in just a span of few days because he’s also given his dates to Dostana 2 which requires him to look in perfect shape for a beach hunk.

 

To attain a bulkier look for the first film, John has been working out everyday under the guidance of a trainer. Meanwhile, he’s hired another trainer to help him lose weight after the filming of Khaka Khaka is over.

 

John says he’s looking forward to keep working on the beefier look till June 20, after which he’s start working for the chiselled out physique for Dostana 2 which rolls in July.

 

Even John admits that such a drastic change in a short interval is not good for body. But what to do? He’s got professional commitments to meet.

Shruti Haasan and Siddharth strong relationship

Media has linked Shruti Haasan and Siddharth since the time they were seen together at the premiere of the movie Striker. And now it seems the couple is going strong in their relation.

Pyar chhupta nahi, and now according to reports Shruti and Siddharth don’t want to stay away from each other for long. They have even bought flats close to each other in Mumbai. As a tabloid reports, Rang De Basanti star Siddharth will also attend Shruti’s performance as the lead singer for her rock band ‘The Extramentals’ in Hyderabad on June 10. The actor tries to be with her whenever possible.

 

So whatever skeptics may have to say about this blossoming relationship, it’s believed Shruti’s father Kamal Haasan too has no apprehensions over his daughter’s beau. Siddharth even met him last month.

 

Let’s see whether Siddharth can be a steady beau to Shruti as he has a history of failed relationships. He divorced his wife in the year 2006 after which he dated Soha Ali Khan, but the relationship couldn’t last long.

Topless Bipasha Basu for Lotto Ad

Forget the Milind Soman and Madhu Sapre commercial. Cyberspace is now feeling the heat of a New York Lotto commercial that was shot by Bipasha Basu and Vivek Oberoi. YouTube uploads mention that the commercial has been directed by Ken Nahoum. The art direction has been done by illustrator Tommy Kane and it was shot in India.

 

Needless to say, the ad is very bold in terms of Indian standards and, hence, apprehensions remained about whether the actors had indeed shot for it. Vivek’s spokesperson said, “We can’t get in touch with Vivek and hence, can’t comment on this issue. We don’t have any idea about this ad.”

 

However, Bipasha’s manager confirmed that it is indeed the star, who has been featured in this ad. “Bipasha had done this ad in 1999 when she was modelling for Ford Modelling Agency in New York. It was done as an international assignment and was meant for the international market. I don’t know why such an old ad has surfaced now,” said Bipasha’s manager.
